WINDOW SUSPENSION
The WINDOW suspension is a lighting item suitable for interiors, equipped with a socket for E27 bulbs. Window, with a modern and original design, is composed of a metal ceiling rose and diffuser painted with epoxy powder and is available in two sizes, 40 and 60 centimeters in diameter. The product, available in a single-color version, like all our lighting fixtures, can be customized according to the individual needs of our customers, thanks to our company's “just in time” production. 80% of Window's components are replaceable in case of damage, in line with the eco-design legislation that came into force in September 2021. The Window suspension is made entirely in our factories with 100% Made in Italy products and elements.
What materials is Lumicom Window made of?
Window is made entirely in our factories with 100% Made in Italy materials. The product consists of a metal half sphere, a metal canopy, a PVC electric cable and a steel support cable only for the 60 cm diameter version. Window is equipped with lamp holders with connection for E27 bulbs.
The idea
"We designed a lighting product with the idea of enriching it with open spaces on the light diffuser that give an external outlet to the light, as happens through a normal window." - the words of Giovanni Bortolan, Industrial Designer of Waypoint - "Window is the final result of an idea created to offer our customers a suspension that has an original geometric design when switched off and an evocative play of light when the luminaire is switched on."
The processing
The metal plate that arrives in our warehouses is laser cut to obtain the shape and size envisaged by the project, before being transformed, in an artisanal way, and according to a technique designed and tested by us, into the typical half-sphere shape. In the next step, the light diffuser is laser engraved to create the decoration with the characteristic bands that distinguish the article. The raw product is then colored externally through the use of epoxy powder paint. Finally, the item is assembled with the PVC electric cable and the steel support cable, provided only in the 60 cm diameter version and the lamp holder with socket for bulbs and E27. The work is completed with the packaging, produced and made with recycled materials and water colors, in compliance with sustainability and the green philosophy of our company.
