GENERAL INFORMATIONS

To calculate the amount of light sources to buy it is useful to take into account the wattage, but first of all you need to think about the lumens generated by the bulb or LED. The power of a light source is in fact generated by the total lumens produced and, to establish the lighting expressed in lux (lumens per square meter), we advise you to divide the total lumens by the surface to be illuminated, beyond that by do this by using one or more lighting fixtures.

HOW MANY LUMENS DO I NEED TO ILLUMINATE THE BEDROOM?

The bedroom is the place where you normally go to sleep at the end of a day, whether it is work or leisure. The bedroom, therefore, does not need too strong lighting but requires a little intense light that facilitates relaxation and sleep. The situation is different for the bedrooms of children or teenagers, for whom very often the room becomes a sort of home in the house, being used not only for sleeping but also for studying, playing, reading, etc. For this space of the house we therefore recommend a light source ranging, depending on the use, from 50 to 150 lux.

Example for a 4x4m bedroom:

4x4 = 16m²; 16m² x 100lux approximately = 1600 lumens recommended.

For bathroom lighting, we recommend one or more light sources ranging from 100 to 150 lumens per square meter. For the mirror, on the other hand, we recommend one or more light sources ranging from 100 to 150 lux.

Example for a 4x4m bathroom:

4x4 = 16m²; 16m² x 125lux approximately = 2000 lumens recommended.
